Recently, HuaDe Hydrogen Energy Technology successfully completed the development of its proton exchange membrane (hereinafter referred to as "PEM") pure-water electrolysis hydrogen production system. The system is scheduled to be delivered shortly to a domestic integrated project encompassing photovoltaics, water electrolysis for hydrogen production, hydrogen refueling, power generation, and heat supply. A photograph of the physical system is shown in Figure 1.

Figure 1: Physical View of the System
The PEM pure water electrolysis hydrogen production system delivered by HuaDe Hydrogen Energy on this occasion boasts a hydrogen production capacity of 5 Nm³/h, a dynamic operating range of 20–120%, a dew point below -75°C, and an average energy consumption of 4.4 kWh/Nm³ H₂. The entire system was independently designed, integrated, and commissioned by the company, in close collaboration with leading domestic suppliers of electrolyzers.
HuaDe Hydrogen Energy has consistently focused on the advancement of fuel cell technology within the energy sector, providing users with innovative, low-carbon solutions for power generation and heating. Whether through its earlier H2ES series of natural gas-reforming fuel cell combined heat and power (CHP) systems or its CARNEU series of pure hydrogen-based fuel cell CHP systems, the company has always regarded the resolution of hydrogen supply issues as a critical prerequisite for the widespread adoption of fuel cell-based power generation and heating systems. Consequently, at the beginning of 2023, the company initiated R&D efforts for its PEM pure water electrolysis hydrogen production system—a project that has now been successfully completed. Moving forward, the company intends to continue allocating substantial R&D resources to expand this system into 10 Nm³/h, 20 Nm³/h, and 50 Nm³/h specifications, thereby comprehensively addressing the diverse needs of users requiring small-scale PEM pure water electrolysis hydrogen production systems.
